As a mountain parent, I am keenly aware of the need to sustain local schools that are educationally and fiscally strong.

As Treasurer of the Loma Public Education Fund, I helped fundraise and manage over $1,000,000 supporting music, art, STEM, and other programs for our schools. Previously, I served on the Building Blocks Preschool Steering Committee and helped to restructure the program based on the concerns of parents.

I helped lead the passage of Measure R which brought over $10,000,000 to improve our school site because modern facilities improve education and provide community use spaces to gather and depend on regularly and during emergencies.

Small school districts face many fiscal and operational challenges made even more difficult by the current health crisis. My professional background blends sociology, non-profit management, and community health. I worked with professionals in the justice system to improve health outcomes and create funding streams for innovative programs. My strengths lie in building community, managing complex data, and budget analysis.

This background helps me understand what makes our schools successful and the drive to help them improve. I will work diligently for high standards of education, a safe campus, and fiscal security for LPJUSD.
