Vote early in person 

You can go a Voter Service Center to obtain a ballot, get a replacement ballot, change your party and vote, change your address and vote, or register for the first time in Santa Cruz County and vote. You may also drop off your vote-by-mail ballot at any of these locations.

Watsonville City Clerk’s Office
275 Main St., 4th Floor (6th floor of the parking garage)

Vote at the polls in person

Polls are open on Election Day:
March 3, from 7am to 8pm

The location of your polling place is printed on the back cover of your Sample Ballot and Voter Information Guide mailed to all registered voters in early February.

Vote and return your vote-by-mail ballot

If you are in Santa Cruz County, we suggest you drop off your vote-by-mail ballot at one of our convenient Drop Boxes:

  • Aptos - Cabrillo College parking lot R, near the football stadium
  • Aptos - Aptos Polo Grounds parking lot near the dog park
  • Aptos - Aptos Public Library, 7695 Soquel Dr.
  • Capitola - 420 Capitola Avenue, Capitola City Hall parking lot
  • Felton - Graham Hill and Mt. Hermon Rd, Felton Covered Bridge Park Parking Lot
  • Santa Cruz - 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, in front of the County Government Center
  • Santa Cruz - 212 Church Street, Santa Cruz, public parking lot
  • Santa Cruz - UCSC Quarry Plaza, next to the Bookstore
  • Scotts Valley - 1 Civic Center Drive, Scotts Valley City Hall parking lot

Ballots postmarked on or before Tuesday, March 3, and received by the elections official by Friday, March 6 will be considered received on time. 

However, voters should be aware that mail delivery is taking anywhere from 3 to 10 days, so voters are encouraged to mail their ballots no later than Wednesday, February 26.

California voters may drop their vote-by-ballot off at any polling place or elections office/drop box in California. 

The deadline to request a ballot be mailed to you was February 25.
